you could not make it up, Jack scoring the winner after what happened earlier. Come on your Lions, there's a video on you tube of an elderly steward getting arrested aswell when Grealish scored
make em play behind closed doors for 3 matches, totally un acceptable behaviour

Why punish the club for the actions of one moronic idiot? Do you remember Leeds/Sheff Weds? Kirkland was attacked and punched on the pitch by a "fan". The fan got put away for 16 weeks but nothing happened to the club involved. Blues have done everything they were supposed to in consultation with the police, to try and make the game as safe as possible but if some moron is intent on getting on that pitch it is very difficult to stop I apologise on behalf of true Blues fans, of which there are thousands, for the moronic, cowardly behaviour of one of our so called fans BUT crucify him not the club.
I remember the Dublin'Savage incident when Dublin got sent off a Villa fan got on the pitch to confront Savage but was restrained before he could get to him. Lucky.
It was a disgrace what that so called supporter did today but the club should not get punished.

No surprise that this thread was started by a Villa fan, who is demanding an unprecedented, closure of the Blues ground, A case of shoot first ask questions later methinks.
Whilst I do not condone the actions of a complete idiot, its doubtful that anything could have been done to stop it. A custodial sentence is required but chances are the law will not make that happen. As Jimbo points out this it simply not a first and has happened many times before.

The media hate Blues and will not let this rest without closure of stadium for a few games or a points reduction...Sky news (Jim White in particular ) has this vendetta against us and will push for points reduction to go with the threat of the other points reduction that they are pressing for over the financial fair play rule...That would drop us into the relegation zone....Its the only time Blues get a mention on any football programme.

14 weeks lol. be out in 4, some deterrent that was. Of course it was started by a Vlla fan, did you Bluenoses think if it was not mentioned it would go away !!!
the same should be done at Arsenal as well. someone got to hammered as a deterrent to others, FA / EFL got to make a stand somewhere,
Rjays, Dont kid yourself, if that had happened on any ground the media would have covered it just the same. Perhaps the idiot wanted 2 mins of fame on TV, but look where thats got him.

Tony just look on U tube there is a good number of instances of fans getting on the pitch to confront a player, yes it has happened at Villa Park when a so called Villa supporter confronted Robbie Savage. What was the outcome of that episode, answer nothing zilch sweet nothing. Birmingham City Football Club are only guilty of letting a yob get on the pitch, sorry but it is almost impossible to stop,
PS We lifted a major trophy at Wembley in 2011 when was your last trophy lol and before you say it dont count Man City seemed delighted to win it 2 weeks ago

Don't forget Brian, a few weeks ago a villa fan was arrested inside villa park with a 8" bladed knife. He went to court and got a suspended sentence if I remember right. " villa fans also invaded the pitch against the Baggies not long ago. Every club have a few morons unforetunately

I am a life long Villa fan Ex Holte Ender .
This is something that has most probably happened @ every Ground in the Country over the years.
                      Hand bags !!
Personally i do not believe that any Club should be held responsible for the actions of the fans.
Security is Paramount in the grounds ,How is it possible to monitor 23000 individuals for the duration .
It only takes 1 moron to try to make a name for himself.
He should have got 5yrs ,that would have been a Deterrent to anyone else thinking of doing the same
Punish the Club with massive Fines ,Play behind Closed doors ,Deduct Points .NEVER, NEVER , NEVER
Every Club in the Country has thier Share of Morons & this could happen to any one of them
No matter where you are ,Bus .Train .Chip shop. , Take Away , Pub ,minding your own business you Could be attacked
Non of these places are held responsible
                      Why should the club
Lets all concentrate on the Football

Well said Col. Should have gone to crown court instead of magistrates and sentence could have been a lot longer. He got the maximum sentence they could give because he pleaded guilty! What an absolute joke.
