  • Advice wanted about Korum Feeder Reels 4000 & 5000

    As it says Fellas
I am looking to Buy 2 new Feeder Reels ,
I am considering Korum as they are used by a lot of specialist Anglers
Anyone that knows me is aware that my Reels are subject to constant abuse
I will not spend Silly money to throw 6 to 8oz feeders & leads across te Severn & Wye
    Any feedback would be Great
    Thanks in advance fellas
    I await your views
    Colin

Unless its for fishing heavy feeders/leads every day of the week,I cant see any thing out there to beat a Shimano baitrunner, until a few years ago ALL my big fish reels were Okumas, cheap as chips and never let me down,OK they aint for posers and name droppers but just given one to a member and I bet it will go on for a far few more years, upgraded to Shimanos a couple of years back and although a tad more expensive,I cant fault them, pretty much bomb proof, but then again I still use 20 year old Fox alarms,so what do I know.

I Have a couple of gtm 3000 reels & don't like them that much if i am totaly honest.
The reels that i am looking to buy will only ever be used for Big Feeders or Big leads on Flooded Rivers
I aint a poser or into Silly priced tackle I would rather buy 2 reels capable of doing what i need
that will stand up to the Abuse i will subject them too
.If they wear out i buy New again

Col, you know thats my type of fishing and all i have usedfor the last 4 years are pxr 4000 origional ones, i have 4 of them, i also have a 5000 for big floods, but the 4000 s cope with that also, used and abused across the rocks on the Trolls, out in the river on the Severn and Wye, you can get the origionals cheap second hand

                  Not sure, be next weekend.
Maybe the kdaa open Saturday, or a bit of pleasure river somwhere, need to hone my wagg skills back in tune, if you fancy somewhere just say and we can meet up

Will have to Check next week, I am going out on River in the Week ,Roach are Starting to show all over.
KDAA match doesn't really Appeal i'm afraid ,because i Don't agree with Anglers Wading 3/4 of the way across the River
                    Never have & Never will.

It's my intention to wait for winter levels before going
