JAMES MAUDE AC JANSON’S FISHERY MATCH POOL (5HRS)

    SATURDAY 29TH SEPTEMBER 2018

Weather: Over temperatures down with an early morning light frost, warm and dry throughout the day.

Today was the penultimate league match in the James Maude Ac calendar, just were has that season gone, it doesn’t seem that long since we were starting our season back in April.
So the JM boys were once again out to break some records / personal bests as they ventured into the Vale of Belvoir and the beautifully kept Janson’s fishery. Credit must go to Jeff & Linda for their dedication to our sport of angling, always a warm and friendly welcome, and the bacon butties are stunning, just what you need on a cold and frosty morning. Autumn has certainly descended upon us following the glorious summer, but would this put pay to more PBs only the five hours fishing would tell. If you fancy a Dabble or even a Dibble then your money should be on young Scott a personal best weight of 232lb-2oz on his last visit back in July, this surely was going to take some beating. But for a lad in top form adding a further 41lb to his previous Scott took another personal best weight of 273lb-2oz from peg 11 all on Corn with a micro/corn feed. Well done Scott. Club record holder from the last visit was Pete Lambert was back at it from peg 13 taking 190lb-14oz on maggot. Well done Pete. Our champion Dave Lilliman edged a little closer to retaining his title as he took a commendable third place with 187lb-4oz from peg 38 on worm. Well done Dave. Special mention to Hon Sec Paul Skeldon on doing a PB with 171lb-15oz from peg 5. Well done Skelly.
    The results are as follows:
Scott Dibble 273lb-2oz peg 11 (personal best)
    Pete Lambert 190lb-14oz peg 13
    Dave Lilliman 187lb-4oz peg 38
    Ian Carr 184lb-2oz peg 30
Paul Skeldon 171lb-15oz peg 5 (personal best)
    Dave Sewell 165lb-1oz peg 32
    Shaun Green 150lb-13oz peg 3
    Nick Heath 126lb-12oz peg 9
    Phil Smedley 116lb-12oz peg 28
    Terry Wiggins 114lb-6oz peg 1
    Brian Cox 82lb-8oz peg 17
    Billy Harrison 79lb-5oz peg 34
    Paul Davies DNW peg 36
