17 members turned out for the match at the 'jam factory' Sycamore pool. After recent heavy rain the water level had risen by about 8 inches from its prvious low level. The influx of this cold water was the primary excuse for what was to follow. :
The match was fished in dry, but somewhat breezy conditions with sunny intervals.
The match started slowly, with a few fish being foul hooked and lost. As the match progressed a few fish began to feed and Andy Sharpe, fishing pellet on permanent peg 22 was top rod on the day.

    1st Andy Sharpe 51-04-00 peg 22
    2nd Ralph Need 33-08-00 peg 17
    3rd Mark Bennett (poolsfodder) 27-06-00 peg 24
    4th Roy Ravenhill (Royst) 23-03-00 peg 2
    5th Mick Edwards 20-05-00 peg 4
    6th Richard Need 18-03-00 peg 20
    7th Mark Causer (Markc) 17-14-12 peg 6

          Andy,
Its worse than that I went for a practice the week before and fished the same peg as I drew in the match. During the practice session the margin was alive with double figure fish, but they failed to show during the match.
And I slept for 4 and a half hours actually
