Just a quick message.
Any one whos after a new set of custom built rods should look at the cotswold rods website before buying any other rod.

Had my R1's last week and i love them. best rods i have ever used.

from what i can see is, they are just building the rods,using harrison and century blanks, blanks that are already used,not exactly ground breaking stuff? there are many brilliant rod builders about already,so cant realy see the need for cotswolds to enter into this field? unless they are a lot cheaper and as good as the best?

the r1's are not built on harrison or century blanks. they have had the help from harrison to build there own blanks to there own specifications mate.
Well they must be doing somthink right because there selling rods, and from what i hear on the carpforum there selling quite a few

didnt see the r1 blank on the site sorry m8,but as far as i'm aware all blanks/carbon is made in china? but i could be wrong, so working with harrison has probably opened sum doors for them?

Harrison do not import blanks mate. trust me ive been to liverpool to the harrison factory. All the blanks are made on site.
They are the only uk company to make there own blanks.
Freespirit import from china. either way the r1 is a nice rod.
