Default Lower Broadheath Fishery Nr Worcester (The Jam Factory)

Hi, does anyone have any info on what tactics are best this time of year?

Never fished there before, thinking of going towards the end of the week. Had a look at their webpage but not too sure how up to date the info is as it has news at the top relating to 2008....

Also what pool/s is/are best and are they peggy?

Was thinking pole at 10m and 5m with pellet shallow and maybe the margins if fishing well.

Hi used to fish this place all the time, and if your pleasure fishing you should catch from more or less anywhere, willow and ash pools are proberbly best if its windy try to get as close to the corner pegs as you can you wont need to fish more than 5 meters out as the depth just keeps dropping off, the margins will fish well and hold some very big fish. if the weather is nice id recommend any of the pools fishing the same on them all no more than 5 meters out down the margins and up in the water can produce a hell of alot of fish. pellet, paste on any line and big cubes of red meat down the margins. hope this helps and you have a great days fishing, let us know how you get on.

Thanks for the advice Nathan. Yes, will be pleasure fishing so sounds like a nice place! I don't suppose you know if you can still use a keepnet whilst pleasure fishing? It would be great if I can as I haven't been anywhere for a long time that has allowed keepnets (although knowing my luck I'll end up not catching anything )

mate went for a look round last weekend, not too good, they have chopped every tree down around all pools, water carrying a blue tinge, beleived to be some treatment for the disease they had recently. he was told that the falling leaves in autumn, affected water quality???. Not been myself, so this was what i was told. Used to be a brilliant place. If i find out anymore i will post it up.

i dont think you can use them anymore, it used to be another 1 to use them but think they put a stop to it, the trees were cut down a while ago now because they had a fish kill apparently but it did go back to fishing well again just doenst look as nice as it did before.

The blue stuff they have put in is to prevent algae.

Pop a bit further down the road and have a look at us if you get time too mate - if you haven't been before?

Hi fish farmer, funnily enough Cob House is on my list of new (to me) places to go fishing

I've just got back into fishing after a long time away from the sport and looking for some new favourites. The Jam Factory was suggested by my uncle as he said it used to fish really well but he hasn't fished there for a few years. I'm spoilt for choice to be honest as I'm surrounded by lots of venues but most of them I have never fished.

I used to fish at Moorlands years ago when John 'what a lovely bloke' Talbot owned it Not sure what its like now but can't be as bad management wise! I did have Woodland View and Larford on my list but everyone keeps telling me how miserable and moody the owners/managers are and you can't breathe without asking! Apparently there is cctv watching you all the time at Larford....

Just looking for somewhere that fishes well, the people are friendly and its in nice surroundings.

If the weather is good I might pay you a visit towards the end of the week.

Look no further my friend.... sounds like you wrote the blueprint for our place, lol. Hope to see you soon mate.

Of course, I am far too much of a professional to comment on other fisheries, especially as I have only anglers views to go on. However, Hawford bridge is a nice quiet secluded place to try too.
