    Also use it as Lubricant for Pole Elastics

    Ahhhh still available.
    I was not sure if the industrial type silicones eould damage the line

    A tin of Mucilin. (if still available) Also one of my Uncles used to just use the Brylcreem from his hair - worked good as 'owt & costs next to Now't!!

    Once watched a Fly fishing prog' on telly & the Angler used Mucilin/Floatant to grease the line, & then used Fullers Earth between his finger & thumb to degrease when required.

    always have a tub of Muscilin with me great for treating line @ back of Float
    been using it ever since i Started 60yrs ago
    Muscilin, Vaseline ,& Muscilin line sink , Silicon Spray always in my box
    All my Sinking lines are treated in a bowl of warm water with plenty of Washing up liquid over night .
