    Default Landing net sizes.

Is using a smaller size landing nets a good way too stop fish, namely carp from thrashing around after landing them.we are talking of carp around 5-6 lb.

I think maybe not mate, just let them do their stuff for a minute with the net suspended between your thighs & they'll settle down ready for unhooking.

Very often though you'll find the hook has then already come out on its own & is in the Net.

Playing them out till they're more tired will help a bit.

A Smaller net can make a big difference when Bagging.
It can be the difference between winning or not .
My Choice is often a shallow 18" to 20" Spoon net ,a couple of Fellas i know use 16"

I’m not confident using small nets if bigger fish are on the cards,20” minimum for me
