have to admit not tried Guru .
Jethro i didn't mention Speed beads as they incorporate Swivels .
although for Heavier Hook lengths i have used them without a problem for years
Instead of dropping loop over a hook .just slip line through the swivel & through its own loop
Definitely just as Quick & will handle fish of all sizes ,both still & Running water
many years ago it was possible to buy some small oblong steel rings I used to use these with a tight float rubber pushed over
I didn't like ledger stops when Feeder fishing & these worked Brilliantly

Do you know Colin I tried the exact way of putting the hook on the swivel, it took me ages so dropped the idea.
You know how hampered I am, just dropping the loop over the hook is the only way I can cope.
I have an incidental on my left shoulder, he's always there, he's my friend.
He says he gives me good advice. does he ?

if you just feed your Hook through the swivel & then through the loop on your hook / length
    Job Done
on River feeders very Small Swivels are perfect with a Small piece of Silicone or 1of them soft rubber oblong beads
pushed over it are perfect no tangle stops

Yes Colin I know how it works. My problem stems from only using a feeder rod when it's too windy to use my pole. When it blows I struggle with some aspects of angling, one problem is lines blowing. I know I just go for the easy option.
To save a hell of a lot of time I have ready made rods, if I have anything go wrong I swap rods, I can change hook lengths with the hook on the swivel.

    Jethro
i am sorry mate i forgot that you have limitations ,due to your illness a few years back
i was gong to say that if on a river i always have a small baiting needle round my neck so i dont have to fiddle threding hook or loop through swivel
as its just a matter of pushing needle through Swivel & pull line back through
glad to now you are enjoying your fshing again

Thanks Colin that's OK. It's not a problem.
A change of fishery has got me rejuvenated. I've never caught so many silver fish, even though most are Ide.

    Thanks chaps.
As for fishing I haven't been able to get out since September. That's soon to change, it's took some time but eventually I've got an appointment so things are looking up.
I've just bought another two top kits on the strength of it.
