Sunday 7th January 8 fished Old School area
1st peg 8 Brian Blackamore 7lb pole and pinkie
    2nd peg 1 Nathan Watson 5lb 1oz pole and punch + worm
3rd peg 6 Derek Skinner 4lb 5oz whip and punch
4th peg 7 Dave Dean 3lb 8oz pole and pinkie
    5th peg 4 Mark Cook 0lb-2,1/2 oz
    no one else weighed
The new platorms were used for a match for the first time, but as there are only 5 of them pegs 1,7 and 8 were on the natural bank, which proved to be the best pegs, only Derek on the last platform caught properly- -anglers on peg 2-3 and 5 went home early Cookie only stayed cos he was organiser, his 2.5 oz was 10 tiny perch--a cold day and a swirly NE wind in our faces made it a very difficult match.

    Sunday 14th Jan,,, Dovecote

    1st peg 3 Derek Skinner 6lb 5oz 4m whip and punch
2nd peg 4 Alec Rawlings 5lb 8 oz pole and punch
3rd peg 1 Brain blackamore 3lb 10oz pole and pinkie
    4th peg 2 Kev Hutchinson 2lb 6oz
    5th peg 5 Dennis Houghton 2lb 4oz
Everyone was hopeful after thursdays good catches, but it was very hard work in conditions that looked perfect, calm with a steady pull all day_ Derek went through his full repertoire, of punch knowledge --every size of punch in has box and big and small hooks and various depths, in the last two hours ran it through tripping the bottom,, it seemed to do the trick.
Alec caught the odd decent fish all day and just fell short at the weigh in.

5 of us had a sweep, Thursday 25th Jan at Crows bridge
    1st peg 2 Nathan Watson 2lb 5oz
    2nd peg 1 Kev Hutchinson 1lb 10oz
    3rd peg 3 Mark Cook 1lb 5oz
    4th peg 4 Alec Rawlings 1lb 4oz
    5th peg 5 Derek Skinner 0lb 10oz
It was very hard work for all anglers as he river was well coloured and ran and dropped all day despite a midday high tide. maggot and pinkie was the order of the day,
The river hasnt been right since christmas, but hopefully we will catch it right a few times before the end of the season
Sunday matches will be run every week till then,, as will thursday sweeps, if we can get a few to turn up.

    Sunday 28th Jan. Washdyke Lane End--pegs 14 --19
    1st peg 14 Brian Blackamore 13lb 14oz 193 fish, pole and pinkie
    2nd peg 15 Derek Skinner 13lb 0oz 172 fish 4m whip and punch
3rd peg 16 Alec Rawlings 10lb 14oz pole ,punch and wag and mag
    4th peg 17 Pete Harker 10lb 6oz
    5th = peg 19 Ian Brodie and
    peg 18 Mark Cook 8lb 8 oz
The river had a nice run at the start, and the nasty colour had dropped out since thursday,, Derek set off really well and had 136 fish in the first 3 hrs, but when it slowed right up plus the wind got up-he struggled to catch --in the meantime Brian was taking full advantage catching 90 fish in the last two hrs.. Alec had some nice fish on his usual waggler tactics just beating Pete who had 200 fish by a few ounces,
It was probably the best match we have had this season with decent weights.
We are hoping it will still be on form for the next match on thursday.

Thursday Feb. 15th platform area 4 fished
    1st peg 1 Derek Skinner 13lb 12oz, 150 Roach whip and punch
2nd peg 2 Pete Andrews 12lb 6oz 130 Roach, pinkie and big maggot --pole.
    3rd peg 3 Nathan Watson 12lb 4oz,

It fished pretty well for a change, the overnight rain hadnt affected it, but a nasty swirling wind made it difficult at times,
