Hi Roy hope ya well pal. Wanting a bit of advice about your octobox please? Did you buy your box with the accessories package and what extra did you have to buy to make it a perfect box? I'm looking at the D36 but on totalling up the extras I think I would need it's getting expensive, accessories bar, pole sock, etc etc. Does the sidetray come with a lid or is that extra too? Any advice would be great.

so it didnt happen for you but well done to tim he did well on peg 2 hope he can do the bis in the final what did he pick up for winning !!!!
  10. Hi Nathan - I only had 3 bites One lost, One Carp and One Tench so not a good day. Pegs either side of me didn't fair any better so guess it just wasn't happening in front of me. When the wind calmed you could see a lot more fish blowing and moving on the pegs to my right 19 - 22 so I guess I was just off a few fish.
At least Tim won the match so it made the journey home more pleasant - he couldn't stop grinning and phoning people.
Once again - thanks for the help and hope to see you again in the near future. Roy

Packington WInter League Rd 9

The Penultimate Round.

I was really looking forward to this round as there are a few pegs on Little Geary's more than capable of winning the whole match - something that was of interest to me as finishing in the top 15 looks out of the question now. With my two droppers already in the bag the rest of my points already amassing 30 points........too many for the last place envelopes.

For some unknown reason I fancied peg 5 which of late holds some big Carp down to the

Packington Winter League Rd 8

Today I'm dipping my hand in the bag for the low numbers on Molands pegs 2 to 33.

Those of you that are now following my blogs may recall my write up for round 5 and how in the first paragraph I stressed the importance of avoiding the low numbers. So I wasn't too happy when the disc I picked had a single digit and as I focused it was peg 6............not good at all.
Chris Newton had fished peg 8 on Saturdays open and caught a few but said plenty of fish were showing on peg

PWL Round 6

Hi All
My Section of Twelve anglers today consisted of some new faces, a few stand-ins for the stay at home brigade and Big Keith my mucker from the first half of this series. On paper it looks a tough section as the lads coming in are all venue experts and draw bags too..........of which Danny Tresigne is the cream of them " always in the forties" as he was yesterday on 48 and today on peg 45. It's hard enough trying to compete with the likes of Danny if he's on an average peg

Packington - Solihull Xmas Match

by Abramis Brama on 4th January 2017 at 02:16 AM
A short blog

Seems like I'm Warming up nicely for next weeks Winter league and off to a great start for this year.

SA Xmas match is always a well attended match and one I like very much straight after the festive break. 71 anglers braved another cold snap with Ice covering most lakes following yet another sharp drop in temperature overnight (my Southern friends just don't understand our tough environment lol).

I was thinking about several pegs I'd be
