Sounds good , i just bought a tri cast armantia cheap off ebay for starting club fishing again . Didnt do alot of fishing last year due to seperation and moving to Cheltenham but managed to have a 21lb carp and lots of doubles , best session was 35 carp to 19lb in 48hrs . But the curse of matches is calling me back again so getting my gear back together to restart and im sure things aint changed that much , i hope . Do you like your g10 ?

Match 5

by steve (stonecold) on 22nd June 2009 at 08:09 PM
Date: Saturday 13th June
Venue: Townsend Lakes, Cambs.

Well final match on here for a short while , now that the rivers will be up and running, but hoping to get the odd one or two in still. Todays match was back on the woodpecker pool and with around 16 anglers it was a little better than having a full 20 peg match. Mick was here this week so I was on the lookout for another quid from the nugget bank of Wisbech. At the draw I was 3rd up and pulled out peg 20, which was

Match 4

by steve (stonecold) on 14th June 2009 at 02:00 PM
Date: 6th June 2009
Venue: Townsend Lakes, Cambs.

Well here we go again, ready to go and armed with everything imaginable to TRY an bag up. At the draw it was noticed that with 19 anglers on a 20 peg lake this was going to be a tough one to say the least. Ideally the middle pegs be ones to draw, so clever ole me went an drew peg 7 right in a corner......great.
On arrival, I was pleased to see a over hanging willow tree to the left which looked very fishy, an open bay

Saturday May 30th Townsend Lakes Canal Pool
Weather - Very warm and breezy

Well what a scorcher of a day it was forcast too be, so it was on with the factor 30 and away to the venue.
On arrival, once all the dues were paid, I met up again with Mick and we proceeded to put the world to rights.
Draw time arrived and I duely pulled out peg 16. After a look on the board, I noticed it was an end bend peg on one of the canal legs, which I was quite happy about as in

Back on the scene part 2.

by steve (stonecold) on 25th May 2009 at 07:29 AM
Townsend Lakes Sat 23rd May Woodpecker pool.

Well after last weeks result, the week leading up to the match I was in good frame of mind and then found out match would be one of the other pools, as they are fished on rotation system around the complex. So it was back on the phone to Mick for all the info.
Smaller pool with only 20 pegs, but your able to use your own pellet, along with any meat, paste and GB (kg limit) that you wanted to. So armed with paste, micro, 4mm and

Back on the scene

by steve (stonecold) on 24th May 2009 at 05:05 PM
Well after much deliberation i've started doin one or two matches again.
Saturday 16th may-Townsend Lakes, Cambs.

Well here we are back in the routine or trying to at least. After talking to fellow TA member Mick Evered, it was decide that I'd join him at Townsend for an open match at Townsend, on the canal lake. Under fishery rules there's no meat, paste, floating baits, cat meat and you must use fishery pellets.
On arrival the wind was gusting an rain forcast, so thanks
