The Community 6,
Droitwich Canal,
Tuesday 30th March 2004.
Back in late 2003 I had a chat with Scatty about organising a series of matches for 2004, Paul kindly agreed to be the match organiser and so the "Community six" was born.
The first get together, and lets face it that's what they are, a get together for anglers of all abilities and skills to have some fun and perhaps catch a few fish while doing so, was organised by Paul on the Droitwich canal. TA members were invited to put their names down to fish the 'match' and a few did. It is always difficult to organise mid week events as not all can get time off work, so it was always a gamble organising the day. A credit to Scatty though, he organised a great day with 9 anglers turning out.
After a hearty breakfast for those that wanted one, the draw was made and off to the pegs they went. The fishing was always going to be hard, with reports stating that big fish would be required to have a good day. Alas they didn't show, but never the less some good sport was had by most.
I turned up with my trusty brownie to take a few pictures, so that we can all put names to faces. The result has been publicised on the site, but just to please Polepot, here it is once again.
